Full Steam Ahead

Doctors appointment on Thursday at TRM went well. Dr Scotchie went over all my labs with me and said that I was in the “normal” range for my (34) age group. She said all looked good with the HSG as well as the ultrasound – a good follicle count, no blockages in tubes, etc. She said, of course, that there could be issues that you only find with surgical procedures, but she wasn’t worried. She said she wouldn’t be shocked to see my first try to take.

So I’ve got my chicken pox vaccine on July 5th and then it’s all systems go for August – it’ll be a month after the last round of vaccines, etc etc.

So now I’ve got to get back to my spreadsheet. Shockingly, I was able to narrow it down to 6 the other night and now have THE FOLDER which contains hard copies of 3 donors that I feel pretty good about. I’m having people weigh in and give opinions on them. I was at the gym yesterday and a friend who has always been excited about the prospect happily jumped all over THE FOLDER – and so did two other girls I work out with. Thanks for the input, ladies.

I’ve run down to Atlanta to visit one of my closest friends (and Ikea) and her recent fiancee and they walked through the options last night with me as well.

It’s really real. And it’s interesting now that I’m getting closer how easy it is to say “ehhh…. nah.” To donors I had originally been very fond of.

So then there were 3. I’ve got until mid-July to make a decision and then I’ll put in my order and start the process.

Exciting. Terrifying. All the things.
