Here’s the great thing about my friends – they care. First thing this morning at 7 am I got a message from my friend who works at TRM. She had read my blog from last night and offered to fill out my form ASAP, catch the doctor, and send it to the bank that morning. I was so appreciative – it was so sweet of her to offer to help! By lunch, I had gotten an email from the bank saying they’d received my form.

I DID read in the email that I would have to call to get a code and that the office would be open til 6pm Pacific Time. No problem, I thought. I don’t know why I always think Pacific time is 4 hours behind Eastern, but PS it isn’t. It’s 3 hours behind. So, after a busy day at work, taking groceries to my dad during lunch, then hitting the gym for a killer workout (not aided by the Chinese food I scarfed down at lunch), I was totally worn out. I grabbed a drink and a snack with a friend, and started to head home.

I ran into some friends and happily told them I was going to head home and buy some sperm! Woo hoo!

On the way home, I realized maybe I should double check this whole time zone thing. It was 8:45 after all. Of course, I realized (thanks Google) that it was 15 minutes til 6 in the world of Pacific time, pulled over in an only semi creepy parking lot and made my phone call. The email said they’d ask some specific things about the chosen donor, so I quickly scribbled some info they might ask onto the back of the bank receipt I had found in my purse – 6’3″, dark blonde, wavy hair, green eyes, 1980, 199lb. Made my call and talked to a guy – which I wasn’t ready for. I don’t know I assumed only women work there. He was nice, gave me my code, asked if I had any questions. I told him not really, and that was it.

Guess what? When I finally got around to ordering online, I didn’t even NEED the code. But anyway.

I ordered 3 vials (my doctor suggested ordering multiples at once since the shipping is pricey – $250! And to have it in case the first time doesn’t take)  from my donor.

So it’s headed to the office and should be there July 14th. Seriously. This is happening and I’m ready to rock and excited.
