Now that I’m at 10 weeks, apparently this tiny person is the size of a lego minifigure, or at least, that’s what my app says.

Big Doctor’s appointment today. I got there SUPER early, not only because I am nervous about getting places late, but also because I assumed I’d have lots of paperwork to fill out. Luckily for me and the People Magazine I got to read cover-to-cover, since my GP is in the same group, they already had everything updated.
I didn’t get to see my doctor today, but was able to meet with her nurse practitioner who I really liked. I like Dr McLelland as well, but was glad to find her nurse practitioner was also great.
We did my third ultrasound and suddenly the blob that became a turtle has become a tiny person. Which is, again, weird. Heart rate looks good, everything is exactly the way it should be, so all news is good news.

So, all is well. Of course, I’m starting out heavier than they’d like for me to be (okay, okay) so I’m only supposed to gain about 15lbs during the pregnancy. But I was assured not to worry too much. Of COURSE I’ve weighed exactly the same at home every single day until today – when suddenly the scale bounced up a few pounds. Figures. I am cleared to continue hitting my Crossfit gym 5 days a week, just to not push myself too hard – which I already don’t do, so no worries there.
I go back on Monday (my birthday), to get another blood test done that will tell us about some of the bigger scarier genetic problems that could be an issue (as well as gender). I think they said the test takes about 10 days to get back, and aside from that I’ll see them again in early November.
And, of course, per request, I brought Krispy Kreme donuts to work for my co-workers. 15lbs, huh? We’ll see.
