Today we took Ember to her 4 month check-up and BOY has she grown. At her 2 month, she was 21.5″ long – today she is 23.75″ – I wish I could grow an inch a month! She was 9lbs 13.5oz two months ago and today she is 12lbs 13.5oz. She’s in the high 20th percentile group, but the doctor said as long as she keeps growing and making progress, he’s not so worried about which percentile she’s in.

Her second round of shots were painful at the moment, but so far almost 9 hours later we haven’t had any fever or fussiness. We’ve been at the ready with Tylenol in case – last time it was a harrowing experience for everyone (mostly us) when she got VERY upset that afternoon when we got home.

She’s got good head control and is leaning to the right far less than she used to. More tummy time and sitting up for this girl! 

We all came home and spent some quality time together on the couch and I made yet more baby food (and made more room in the freezer). I’m glad she and I took the day off from work and daycare – it has been a nice break mid-week and it was good to have Kevin there (he holds her when she gets her shots now). 

Overall, it’s been a good day!
