Ember has LOTS of clothes from LOTS of my friends. Part of that includes Halloween costumes. I’ll be honest, when I woke up Tuesday morning, it took me a few minutes to remember we were supposed to have a costume for school. I’m glad I remembered, though. As this tiny baby is rarely in the same outfit when I pick her up from school as when I drop.her off, I knew I would be packing her costume and sending her in PJs. But before I did, I just had to get a few photos.
She was very interested in the skirt of her jack o’ lantern costume and became a bit hard to take photos of.
But right after this one, of course, she turned and spit up all over the shoulder. Ha ha ha, I knew I was pushing my luck! We got her cleaned up and sent off to school.
She had a great day (no nap, but oh well) and was a big hit at the Halloween Parade at the school.
When we got her home, we decided to try out her banana costume I had planned to put her in for the evening of Trick or Treating with our friends Mac, Laura, Trillium, and Forrester.
Of course it was too small (I suppose she’s not actually an “infant” anymore) but it certainly was cute.
So then we moved on to another costume, a strawberry. This one was too big (but also adorable and we can’t wait to wear it next year).
Also, too cute not to take photos of.
So back we went to our original Pumpkin, but threw on a hoody since it was going to be cold. We figured the backpack was the best plan, so we went to our friends’ house and got all saddled up.
Ember had lots of fun – so many things to check out!
But by about half an hour, she was all tuckered out. We laughed at each house as we had Trillium get candy “for the baby” and then headed home to get the sleepy pumpkin to bed.
Needless to say, we had a great time and can’t wait to do it again next year!
