Ember’s first Christmas was fantastic. Originally I wasn’t sure if she’d even want to dig into gift opening or any of the Christmas fanfare, but then she started to prove me wrong, quickly.
As she lunged for her first gift under the tree, days before Christmas, I knew it was going to be a far more interactive experience than I had originally expected.
We went to visit Godparents Kathryn and John where she opened her first gift (a fantastic book about important ladies in science), and it brought out a gift opening paper tearing squealing monster.
It only got to be more fun from there. What we DID quickly learn was that tissue paper melts in your mouth, so we had to be faster moving when it came out.

But overall, she loved it and of course so did we.

I even over wrapped items so she’d have more to enjoy.
Opening this one out of order did allow for us to figure out that you can’t spell Ember without…..

Oh well. Can’t win them all! We gave and received wonderful gifts and enjoyed time with family. We can’t even imagine how much fun it will be next year!
