For Kevin’s 33rd birthday, Ember got him a membership for the TN Aquarium. I suspect she got it for herself too, but we won’t mention it to him. We had a great time visiting the aquarium for the first time (even if Ember knocked out asleep by the jellyfish exhibit).

She has started clapping often and her two front teeth are heading in full force. Of course, the teething has been tough and she’s been a cranky baby for a bit lately, but even at her crankiest, she’s still such a good natured sweet baby that we can’t complain.

We also welcomed our newest friend Fable to the world when her godparents John and Kathryn had her on New Year’s Eve. Although we met her in the hospital, we like to go by and visit often. This time Fable was even awake to see Ember!

And we’ll be going to visit another new friend, as our Aunt Lindsay and Uncle Aaron just had their first little girl, Maeve, who we will be seeing one weekend soon. 

Ember has SO MANY things to teach her new little cousins and we feel so lucky to have friends with kiddos ahead and behind us in this journey – and even more to join!
