Time goes by quickly. That’s not news to anyone but January seemed to take forever and now February is already over.
Ember is doing great. She loves that Spring might be here again and is so happy to get back to the playground at school during recess and after care.
She is counting to ten and knows a lot of colors. Mostly due to association with her friends on Sesame Street – Elmo is red, Big Bird is yeh-yoh, Ahkers is green (and lives in the “trash!”), Cookie is blue. She loves naming colors and pointing them out.
Eight is currently her favorite number. “What time is it?” “8!” This is also her bedtime which she is NOT a fan of.
She’s interested in the potty and although we haven’t gone fully in, she “tries” at school sometimes with great success and fanfare and goes at home often for an “Emmy” M&M.
She loves to do “paperwork” at school.

And is always ready for some “cake!”

Her Valentine’s Day party at school also afforded her some quality cake time and also made me rethink my GREAT idea of baking mini cupcakes instead of just buying them.

She’s getting so big that it’s hard to see the tiny baby she once was so recently and so long ago.

Her second birthday will be coming up in April and Kevin has gone ALL IN and bought her a very fancy back yard wooden swingset with slide and treehouse. Here’s hoping she loves them at home as much as on the playgrounds we visit.
Life is trucking along and we are having a blast!
