Zora turned two months on 11/09 and she is having a blast.

She’s gaining weight (11lbs 12oz!) and starting to coo and babble. She likes to lie on her back and kick her legs and wave her arms like she’s running a race.
We went to her 2 month check up today – neither baby nor mom enjoyed their shots.

She talks a lot – I suppose to keep up with her sister. She will be starting daycare in early December but has spent the last week at the office with Mom.
Zora has started sleeping about 5 hours straight most nights but right as I get used to that, she wakes up at midnight or 1:00 again to keep me on my toes. Exclusively pumping with a second baby is less stressful as I’m not trying to build up a stash of frozen breastmilk nor am I freaked out or overwhelmed with guilt when she gets a formula bottle because we don’t have any other milk ready. It’s still a struggle and a hassle but it’s worth it. I expect to continue to pump for her through at least 6 months if not more this time around since I’m in a much more conducive environment at work.
Ember loves being a big sister. She’s constantly checking in on Zora and LOVES to hold her on her lap.

She even read her Llama Llama Red Pajama the other night!

Mom has gone back to work and although I miss my days at home with Zora, I missed work as well.
Mom and Dad have started to make a specific effort to take Ember on some Big Girl trips without little sister. This past weekend it was the Aquarium and this weekend it will be the Creative Discovery Museum!
Zora enjoys being in her carrier most of the time, so I plan to wear her as much as possible during family outings. It looks like for the sake of time she may go with us to the CDM this time, so we will see how that goes.
We ALMOST seem to have a household of four people under control most of the time. No promises that it will continue that way, of course. We are looking forward to Thanksgiving and Christmas – Ember is already excited about going to pick out our tree and this year is already pointing out Santa every chance she gets.
Last year Santa was simply “ho.” I think Christmas will be a MUCH bigger deal this time around.
