Zora has been having a blast at daycare the past few weeks. She’s not napping well yet, but she’s still struggling with a cold so that makes it tough.

She’s been very busy this week, rolling over and even getting up on her arms and scooting around to get to what she’s after. I walked in to see her right in the middle of her newest trick and just had to take some photos.

She’s so big! We’re struggling some with sleeping all night – mostly congestion wakes her up. But I also remember that anytime a baby learns something new, they “forget” how to sleep. One day we will see a full night’s sleep, I’m sure! We were almost there before everyone in the house got sick at Christmas – I keep believing we will get back there one day!!
Everyone loves her, of course, and Ember LOVES to drop her off and pick her up each day with mom. Sometimes Aunt Angie tags along to help!

These girls are best buddies already – it will be interesting to see how that changes once Zora has a say in it!

Ember is her usual hilarious self and has been doing lots of silly faces at every photo opportunity.

She is talking up a storm but occasionally still has a word or two that she gets tangled up on. “Lellow” is still around and it makes me smile because I know we don’t have much more time with mispronounced words with her. She’s super sweet with her sister and only has insane tantrums here and there. We’re learning about not getting our way and dealing with big feelings – mostly Ember but really all of us in the house.

I love her little heart and mind – she wears her Princess dress (which was mine) and then “goes to work” with her hammer and tells her dolls “mommy has to go to work now and build.” It’s such fun to play with her as she makes up stories and plays with her toys. She does a great job playing on her own but also loves for us to play with her, Dad included.

We couldn’t be happier. Although I could use a little more sleep.
