Zora Wilder Harris is 7 months old!

At 7 months, Zora is sitting up without falling over, babbling (she said Mama yesterday for the first time), and this morning her first tooth broke through!
She spends most of her day watching her sister and playing with toys. She’s happy and loves to be held but also LOVES to clap her arms and watch the constant chaos that is happening in our house daily.
She’s working on food – she likes the rice husks and tolerates the homemade baby food I’ve prepared. She still gags on puffs so we aren’t eating many yet. We aren’t pushing food at this point as it’s “just for fun” until she’s 1. She’s busy with bottles daily – about 75/25 breastmilk and formula.

Daddy had the smart idea to get out the pack and play earlier this week so she could safely sit up without crashing into things and also have a place to play out of the reach and running path of Ember.
Although I’m sure both of the girls miss school (this is our 4th week of being at home during the COVID-19 Quarantine) they also both LOVE being home and with each other all day every day. Ember is a great helper and rushes to Zora to give her a paci or bottle when she cries. Well, most of the time. Yesterday she said “Not right now, Mommy, I’m busy.”

My boss (and dear friend) came up to the house yesterday and hid some Easter eggs for the girls and dropped off a birthday gift for Ember. Zora was mostly just along for the ride but was VERY interested in the eggs Ember let her look at.

Overall, Zora is a happy little girl. She only cries when she’s hungry or needs something – lately she’s been a little whiny but seeing her first tooth come through today explains a lot! She laughs and laughs, babbles and likes to bounce. She will JUMP herself almost off a lap and loves her jumpy.

With school not meeting, both of the girls have Zoom meetings online to see their teachers and other friends. Zora’s meetings always make me laugh.
Happy 7 months baby Zora!!
