Last year, we had planned to take Ember to Disney to meet the Princesses for her 3rd birthday. We were so sad to cancel the trip due to COVID but knew it was the right thing to do. The week after we canceled, the world shut down and we had no idea what was about to happen. Her 3rd birthday was spent with video chats from virtual princesses and only one in person visit with Gigi. Everyone else called and video chatted and we had a pretty somber 3rd birthday.

This year with all of our family and most of our friends fully vaccinated, after a year without trips and many months without friends visiting much, Ember had a 3 day long birthday extravaganza.

First, Gigi visited with fantastic gifts and we had our Family Cake which was delicious.

We had signs put up in the yard to start the celebration and Ember loved being in a princess dress!

The next day we had our friends over for a backyard party.

We had cupcakes and pizza and lots of fun with bubbles and tiaras and magic wands!

That afternoon we had a visit with Mamaw and Granddaddy and got another great gift!

The next day was Ember’s REAL birthday. She turned 4 on April 12th. Daddy took the day off work and we all had our first big adventure in over a year – to the zoo!

After the zoo, we came home and Ember decided she wanted to get out the pool for the rest of her Birthday Day.

After getting all washed up and warmed up, Ember opened her gifts from Mommy and Daddy – big girl games all Princess themed including Candy Land!

It’s hard to believe this tiny baby is now a big 4 year old girl. We are so lucky to have her and love everything about her, every day.
