It has been such fun this summer with the girls. We’ve spent plenty of time in the pool and having big and little adventures. Ember took swim lessons at UTC and did great.

We welcomed a new family member over the July 4th weekend. Racecar is Ember’s sweet little boy kitten and she’s a fantastic kitty mommy. He’s totally ridiculous and a lot of fun.

Ember headed to Kindergarten last week and has been doing an amazing job in a new place with almost all new people. She is making new friends every day and falling into her new schedule without much trouble at all. I am so proud of her and so impressed with how well she is handling all the changes.

Before she started Big School we took some time off of work to have some Big Girl Adventures together. Maybe we were making up for lost time out in the world due to COVID-19.

At the end of July, the whole house finally had our turn with a COVID-19 infection. The kids felt puny for a few days and of course mom and dad felt worse for longer. Overall we all had mild cases thankfully. Zora was able to get her first shot in before we all got sick, which we were thankful for.

Now that we’ve had our COVID experience AND our shots, we’ve got a lot of time to make up for!
