I thought I’d post some information here in case you wanted to know:

I’m working with Dr Jessica Scotchie at Tennessee Reproductive Medicine.
I am using the Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) procedure to get pregnant.
I am NOT planning to use in vitro fertilization (IVF) to get pregnant unless we find out that IUI won’t work.
I am using an Open Donor from a sperm bank across the country. He is 6’3″ weighs 199lbs, has green eyes, wavy blonde hair and is a teacher. After hunting through 3,500 donors and narrowing it down based on what I looked like as a baby (below), he was my first choice. The people at the sperm bank list his celebrity look-a-like as Chris Noth.

An Open donor means that the donor is willing to make contact with the child when they are 18 if they want to be in contact. It also allows you to register in a Sibling Registry so that you can contact other children from this donor.
I will be almost 35 when I first try to get pregnant. I have not had any issues, was on birth control pills for almost 20 years and had “normal” scans and other tests for my age range.
