Ember is 4 months old today!

She has discovered her hands and spends most of her time making the loudest noises I’ve ever heard sucking on her tiny hands. She’s a big fan of bath time too.

She’s working on Tummy Time at daycare and at home on the weekends and is rolling over to her tummy by choice lately.

Baby food starts at 6 months so I’ve been excited to make her some pureed veggies when we have leftovers. I know enough about myself to know that I’m better off to jump on it when I’m excited than wait until I actually need these things or they might not get done.

So far we’ve got frozen broccoli, brussel sprouts, peas and some corn. It’s a lot of fun and a great way to use leftover steamed veggies from dinner. I’ll probably thin them out as needed with milk and mix foods as we progress. The newest rules say to wait until 6 months and start them on veggies first, so I’ve been having fun pureeing things.

She’s doing a lot more talking and is getting tall – too big for her 3 month pajamas, so we’ve moved on to 6 month clothes in most labels. Shes sleeping unswaddled and usually stays asleep until about 3 or 4 am. She’s my favorite person in the world, so I can’t think of a better way to spend my time than this.
