Ember has spent the past two weeks working on her walking and is doing great. She will stand up and walk 10 ore more steps at once without crashing to the ground and LOVES to walk holding one of your fingers.
This is the photo from two weeks ago when she took her first unassisted step – and apparently got so excited she couldn’t keep her shirt on. I’m hopeful for a Mia Hamm moment later in her life to mirror this one.

We’ve been having fun as the summer wears on. Although she didn’t love Water Day at school, she DID love being the master of the spray bottles.

So we tried a little water day at home the next weekend and found it much more appealing.

We went to the big pool for the 4th of July with Gigi and had lots of fun playing in the baby pool there. I’m sure we’ll be back soon.

Ember loves to help at work. She’s talking all the time now, ba ba da da ma ma – she says words here and there, yeah, no, bubble, bird. She says mama and dada regularly but mostly jabbers.
We took her to visit the Creative Discovery Museum yesterday evening and she had a blast. They have a Daniel Tiger exhibit right now and although Ember doesn’t care much about him, I certainly do, so I insisted we get some photos.

She’s getting so big lately that she looks more and more like a little kid and less and less like my tiny baby. At 15 months (next week), I guess that’s to be expected, but I wasn’t ready.
